This carport had to meet 120 MPH windload to meet Texas Windstorm requirements. We used double 2×8 load beams.

This patio cover was originally installed by someone else. They had used plastic sheets and the customer had complained it had leaked from the very first rain. We removed the plastic sheets and replaced them with Aluminum fab rib sheets. No leaks from A-1 Aluminum Co.!
Here we installed a 12′ x 30′ Steel patio cover over in the Mt. Vernon area of Pasadena. The customer had us remove his old aluminum patio cover and haul it off. We used 26 gauge (Galvalume) PBR Panels for the sheets. We also installed about 27 feet of 5″ House gutter to the back of the garage.
Another one we have done for Jesse over at Baytown Scrap Metal. This one is near his home. It is a 24′ x 38′ Freestanding steel carport. The frame is 14 gauge Red Oxide and the sheets are Galvalume.
We have done 3 other jobs for the Sisters of Charity in the past plus this one and one we will be doing in a month or so. We love working for them.
On this job, we removed the existing panels on the building and installed new 3″ insulation and new R-Panels on 2 walls. We also installed 20′ of Rake Trim and 26′ of Sculptured Gutter and of course downspouts.
Getting from the before to after was quite a job but it looks so nice!
