Windstorm Aluminum Carport in Alvin, TX

For Mr. “D” in Alvin we had to meet windstorm guidelines to get the certificate for his insurance.  This requires drawings (which we do) sent to an engineer for his approval stamp.  This is getting harder and harder to do as the requirements keep getting stiffer but don’t be afraid if you live in one of those areas that requires this.  We can “Get cha’ Covered!”

This is a 20’x21′ Aluminum Carport.  We removed his old carport before installing this one that included a 12″x3″ Riser pan.  You will see in the 3 picture below,  an image of the double 2×8 beams back to back.  This was one of the requirements and I can tell you this carport ain’t going nowhere!

Screen Room to Sun Room in Pasadena Just Like That!

Well, maybe not “just like that” but pretty close!  Ms. “C” has a screen room with an Insulated roof system that we had built for her about 8 years ago.  (Whew, how did 2006 become 8 years ago?)  We removed the screen and installed glass windows.  Now she has an extra room for her house.  She loves it!

Aluminum Patio Cover with Opaque Lexan Sheets in Houston, TX

This is the smallest backyard I’ve ever seen.  Literally about 5′ from the back wall of the house to the fence.  Mr. “S” has a new neighbor building a 3 story home behind him.  It’s a monster!  Not only was he losing privacy outside but he has large uncovered windows that anyone on that 2nd or 3rd story could just look down right into his home.  But, he didn’t want to lose his light so we used Opaque Lexan sheets for the patio cover.  We used overhead hangers for support instead of posts that would’ve taken up even more of this small space.
